We had a fab time with Melissa and the boys on the Saturday before Easter.  We had a little Easter egg hunt for the kiddos and Jonathan made us a delicious dinner.  We all had a great time.

Saturday Morning

 

The kids and I met with my friend, Rachelle, and her beautiful brood at the farm at Kensington Metropark this morning.  The sun was shining and it was a beautiful morning.  The kids had a good time running around and climbing fences.  The animals were rad too.  Several of the animals had recently had babies, so that was cool.  We finished our farm outing off with a quick picnic at Rachelle's.  The weather was perfect and it was a great morning!

Movie Morning

Max has been on Spring Break this week and we've had a few fun adventures.  Tuesday we met some of our preschool friends at an indoor play place that is free and lots of fun for the kids.  Wednesday we went to the gym so I could work out and the kids could play.  After my workout the kids and I threw on our suits and hit the pool.  Both kiddos love swimming and so do I, so it was a lot of fun.  I was pretty pooped afterward but we still squeezed in making chocolate chip cookies (from scratch).  They were delish!  Friday we met with Tonya (and her baby bump!!) and Brady to see Rio 2 followed by a tiny bit of shopping and lunch.  The other days of the week were filled with playing with our neighbors and some home time to keep our sanity.  All in all it was a great Spring Break!

Lucy and Dolly

Lucy loves playing.  Tonya recently gave Lucy this lil baby doll and she loves it!  These are a few pics following our visit with Tonya.  When we got home Lucy started playing with her baby right away.  After a little while, Lucy placed her baby into the highchair and told me she wanted some grapes.  Then she came to me and asked for a cup of water for her baby.  I didn't bother to explain that her baby is too young for grapes and too little for that cup.  And it didn't matter because Lucy enjoyed all the snacks on Dolly's behalf.  The third picture shows Lucy's princess face.  She's an ice princess and is shooting ice at you.  She's still managing to get that stink face in there anywhere she can.

Dad, This Pie is for You.

Lucy and I made our first apple pie on Sunday.  I was thinking about my Dad quite a bit and as it turns out he loves pie.  So, Lucy and I got to work and made our first pie together.  I thought about my Dad and Lucy worked the apple slicer like a pro (kinda).  It was a good way to spend our Sunday afternoon.  And the pie was delicious!
