Christmas was a Blast!

Christmas Eve

The kids had fun going outside in their pajamas to spread reindeer food to make it easier for Santa to find our house.  It was a cold night but the kids made quick work of it and then we headed inside to watch The Guardians.  During the movie we  had the kids open their gift of robes, slippers, and a new Grinch puzzle.  Before bed, the kids said goodnight to Buddy, their Christmas Elf.  They wished him well and told him goodbye.  After the kids were in bed I was lucky enough to snap a couple of photos after Santa came by with presents.

Christmas Eve Party!

The Zolls joined us on Christmas Eve to celebrate the holiday.  Melissa and Brian were without power and had been for a few days but they still joined us and we all had a great time. Jonathan had done a Portable North Pole for Otto and Eli and the pics of us around the table are from that.  Portable North Pole is a website that you can create a personalized message from Santa.  Both Otto and Eli were thrilled to see that they had made it onto the nice list.  Max also rejoiced at the end when he found out he had finally made it to the nice list.  (We had set it up the first time to tell him he had landed in between the naughty and nice side.  We're mean parents, we know.)

A Visit to See Santa

We took the kids to see Santa the week before Christmas but it's not pictured here.  Both kids walked right up to Santa and sat with him.  Lucy had no fear and seemed to enjoy herself.  These are the pics of our adventures before we saw Santa.

Gingerbread Houses

Our friend Kelly invited our mom's group over to her new house so the kids could decorate gingerbread houses.  We all had a blast.  This is the first school year that many of our kids are in different schools.  Prior to this year our kids all had class together at least once a week and we all made an effort to get together on a regular basis.  Now most of the kids are in different schools and we all are juggling different schedules.  Needless to say, it had been awhile since I'd seen these gals and their babes.  It was a great night!  We missed you Aubrey, Lauren, & William!

Christmas at Discover

Max and I had a nice morning celebrating Christmas at his preschool.  We had some snacks and made some crafts.  Then the kids performed a few songs they had prepared for us.  All of the fun was topped off by a visit from Santa.  I love Max's school.  They do a great job of making the children and parents feel special.

Cookies and Cocoa Party

Our neighbor, Rachelle, hosted a Cookies and Cocoa Party for a whole bunch of kids.  Lucy stayed home with Jonathan and Bibbon, and Max, Lynn, and I went to the party.  The kids dressed in their pajamas and loaded up on sugar.  Rachelle had activities and treats galore!  She's an excellent host and a good time was had by all.
