Boyne

We initially thought we'd head up to Boyne to do some skiing.  But the weather had other ideas.  So, after visiting with Dad and Jacky we went to Boyne and hit the water park instead of the slopes.  The highlight of this trip was getting to spend a little time with my brother, Kris.  He flew in to surprise Jacky for her birthday.  Jonathan had to spend a day working while we were up north so Kris drove the kids and I over to Boyne to meet Jona after he finished work.  I loved having this time with my brother.  We had so much fun!

Happy Birthday Jacka!

Happy Birthday to the best stepmom a girl could have!  I love you, Jacka!!  And my kids are so fortunate to have you as their Meme.  Thank you for all you for all the ways you show us you love us!  Happy Birthday!

Thanksgiving Parade

At the last minute we decided to catch the parade.  And I'm so glad we did!  This was our first time checking it out.  It turned out to be a fun morning.  Other than underestimating the cold weather and wind, we had a blast.  The kids got to catch candy and we enjoyed the fun around us.  And I'm glad to know the four of us can get ready in 15 minutes when we need to!

Thanksgiving...Yum!

We had a nice, relaxed, pajama Thanksgiving celebration with the Zolls this year.  Jonathan made Cornish hens on the green egg and I made my first chocolate cheesecake.  Everything turned out delicious.  And the company was even better!

I hope this isn't the only snow we see this winter.

Max's Actual Birthday:)

Max's 7th birthday started with a giant cinnamon roll and ended with Chuck E. Cheese (with a little school in the middle).  Max lucked out!  A percent of sales that night at Chuck E. Cheese went to Max's school and since it was his birthday we couldn't pass it up.  I kept trying to tell Max how lucky he was that I arranged a birthday party for him at Chuckies and invited the entire school. I mean not everyone gets to have their principal at their birthday party:)

Lucy & Buddy

Lucy had her week with Buddy!  Buddy is a bear from preschool that each of the kids takes a turn bringing home.  Lucy loved her week with Buddy.  She repeated over and over how Callan pulled the popsicle stick with her name on it and then she got to bring Buddy home!

Our Stellar Little Boy Turns 7

We had a great day of celebration for Max's 7th birthday.  We surprised him in the morning with a new and improved scooter and a trip with one of his friends to an indoor skate park.  He had a blast.  We had a family only birthday party for him later that day.  It may have been his best birthday party yet:)  We topped off the party with a piƱata and silly string.
