Snow Fun During Snowmeggedon 2014

We have been getting some snow!  It's awesome!  It's so pretty everywhere and this weekend the temps were mild enough to enjoy the snowfall.  We had a great time with the kids.  Lucy loved sledding and just walking around and jumping in the snow.  She was a trooper and loved every minute of it.  It was hard to get her inside.  Max also loved sledding and playing with his friends.  We all had a blast on our little hill!

Lucy's First Movie

We went to a movie to celebrate the first day of the new year.  It was a great pastime for a sleepy day and it was Lucy's first movie going experience!  She loved it.  We went to see Frozen.  It was a good movie that we all really liked.  Lucy sat on her Daddy's lap the entire movie and was fully captivated. 

New Year's Eve

We stayed in and celebrated New Year's Eve with kids this year.  Earlier that day the kids and I had an impromptu party with some of our neighbor friends.  I called my neighbor Rachelle and she and her brood along with a couple of other kids came down to our place to have a countdown at 1:00pm.  We adults enjoyed a champagne toast and the kids enjoyed some party punch (Hawaiian Punch and 7-Up) and mini marshmallows dipped in chocolate and sprinkles.  Shortly after this get together Jason (Jona's brother) and his girlfriend, Tricia came by for some appetizers, drinks, and Christmas gifts.  This too was a fun celebration.  Lucy had enough fun and went to bed at her normal time around 7pm.  We told Max he could stay up and have snacks and party punch and try to ring in the new year with us.  He made it to 11:53! . We played Jenga, watched movies, and danced.  Happy 2014!!!
