Fun at the Fair!

The Moesers had a fun night at the fair!  Jonathan spent the week in Minneapolis for training and got back late Friday night.  It was a long week but a good week for both (all) of us.  After an exhausting week of learning, Jonathan had to immediately cover two cases early the next morning.  Somehow,  he was still able to make it to the end of Max's t-ball game.  Max and Lucy were thrilled to finally see their Daddy.  After a great win we went with the team to celebrate at DQ with ice-cream.  Then we had a little fun around the house including a quick water balloon fight.  After that was all cleaned up we went out to dinner.  We lucked out and caught the horse race and saw history in the making.  It was fun to have the kids with us for such an exciting event.  I could see the joy on Max's face as everyone clapped and cheered for American Pharoah's Triple Crown win.  It was fun to get caught up in the excitement.  We then headed to the nearby fair.  We had a blast!  And we're exhausted!  Thank you to my husband for being a total rock star.  I'm always amazed by his ability to buckle down and work hard and then without skipping a beat, play hard with all of us.  He is amazing and I'm a very lucky gal!  I love you, Jonathan Moeser.  And I love our wonderful family.  Life is good.

Memorial Day

We celebrated Memorial Day by renting a canoe and paddling into Milford to watch the parade.  We originally intended on taking our kayak out on the water but it sprung a leak as we were inflating it.  And the hole is on the seam and you know how hard that is to repair!  So we did the next best thing and rented a canoe.  We packed "fishing poles", which were dowels with plastic army men tied to strings, for the kids.  It gave them something to do while we paddled.  We docked at Central Park and enjoyed the parade and a little play time then headed back on the water.  It was a great morning and it gave us time to talk to the kids about the meaning of the day.
