Milford Memories

It was a scorcher at Milford Memories this year.  But we beat the heat with sno cones for the kids and a beverage for the adults.  Our buds, The Michael Family, joined us for a canoe ride into town and then we walked around the festival and enjoyed the sights and had the kids' faces painted.  It was a Sunday funday!!

Blueberry Picking with Nana and Bibbon

We had the pleasure of taking Bibbon blueberry picking for his first time.  And then we all enjoyed lunch together.  It was a great time with Nana and Bibbon!

Elk Rapids, Michigan

We were lucky enough to visit with Meme and Aha during our up north adventure.  We took a bike ride to the art park that runs along East Traverse Bay.  There's several sculptures woven through the woods and along the beach.  It was a very neat place.  Then we spent the rest of the day at the beach in Elk Rapids.  It was lovely.  Dad and Jacky also granted us with a date night and fed the kids on the boat.  Jonathan and I ate at Pearl's for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised.  The food was really good!  We'll eat there again.  Another great trip to the north for the Moesers!

Petoskey, Michigan

Petoskey is another northern treasure.  We had a great time riding bikes with Meme and Aha!  Thanks again for making the trip, Dad and Jacky!

Boyne, Michigan

So Boyne is pretty!  Jonathan had some work up north and we were lucky enough to tag along.  I've heard good things about Boyne but I don't think I've ever been there before.  It was awesome.  We'll be back there for sure.

Kalahari

We took a quick trip to Kalahari.  It's an indoor/outdoor water park so I don't have much for pictures but here's two that sum up some of the fun that was had.

Lucy and my Doll House

This is my doll house from when I was a kid.  My great aunt Babbs made it for me when I was a little girl.  I adore it.  I've kept it in Lucy's room on a shelf too high for her to reach.  It's a special doll house for me and I had mixed feelings about getting it down for her.  Motivated by a box of old goodies from my childhood I finally came to my senses and brought it down for Lucy.  My Dad and Jacky dropped off a box of things from my past and it included a box of stuff from my doll house.  This is just what I needed to finally get over it and let Lucy enjoy my beautiful gift.  As you can see from her expression, she LOVES it!!

Game on!

Rain doesn't stop the fun at our house!  Wiffle ball is just as fun when it's pouring.
