Discover Family Picnic

Jonathan wasn't able to join us for graduation earlier in the week but he was able to take the day off for Max's preschool's family picnic.  We had a fun morning of play, a little competition, food, and ice cream.

Preschool Graduation

Max and I talked a lot about what it means when something is bittersweet.  He is so excited to begin Kindergarten next year but he is sad to leave his friends from Preschool.  We both made some great friends these past couple years and we will both miss seeing them on a regular basis.  Unfortunately not one of Max's preschool buds will be attending the same school as him next year.  But we have a lot of playdates planned this summer and we'll do our best to keep in touch.  This is such a great group of kids (and parents) and we had many great experiences together.  Our preschool is the best and the teachers are amazing.  We will miss you Discover Preschool!!

Max's First Graduation

Max has graduated preschool!  At first I thought it was a little silly to have such a celebration for preschool but I have to say it was awesome.  We love our preschool and we will miss it.  Jonathan had to work but Lucy was able to join me for the festivities.  She thought the graduation hats were pirate hats!  She was cracking me up.  She thought Max was dressed as Jake (as in Jake and the Neverland Pirates).  The kids did a great job with their song.  After singing they all stood on stage and the teachers called them down one by one to read a few things about each child and then hand them their diplomas.  It was a very special day.

Mothers' Day

Jonathan and the kids spoiled me with breakfast in bed followed by a family bike ride for Mother's Day.  These pics are from our stop during our bike ride.  We had some snacks, read a book, played catch, and hit some balls.  Max was a trooper and rode 5 miles with some pretty good hills.  It wasn't easy!  But it was a great day with my posse.  I'm so lucky to be Max & Lucy's mom.

Mother's Day Tea

Max invited me to Mother's Day Tea at his preschool.  He and his classmates prepared some songs and made us fancy hats. We drank tea, had tea sandwiches and snacks, and enjoyed each other's company.  It was a great morning of fun!

Lucy's Pretty Nails

Lucy received some nail polish in her Easter basket and we painted her nails pretty light pink.  She was surprisingly cooperative.  And it was superfast drying polish.

Anne Marie and Mark TheGrocer's Wedding

Jonny and I got all dressed up for a night out in Clare, Michigan.  Jonathan's cousin, Anne Marie, invited us to her wedding to her love, Mark.  They make a wonderful couple and we had a fun night out.
